Captain
Vikram
Batra
aka
Shershaah,
who
made
the
nation
proud
during
the
Kargil
War,
has
been
the
hero
of
the
nation.
The
late
soldier
is
still
remembered
for
bravery
and
unconditional
love
for
the
nation.
And
now,
Captain
Vikram
Batra's
family
is
back
in
the
news
for
an
unfortunate
news
as
the
late
soldier's
mother
Kamal
Kant
has
passed
away.
According
to
media
reports,
she
breathed
her
last
on
February
14
in
Palanpur
due
to
cardiac
arrest.
She
was
77.
The
news
came
to
light
after
Himachal
Pradesh
Chief
Minister
Sukhvinder
Singh
Sukhu
mourned
her
demise
and
expressed
condolences
on
the
micro-blogging
site
Twitter
(now

He
wrote,
"Received
the
sad
news
of
the
demise
of
Mrs
Kamalkant
Batra,
mother
of
Captain
Vikram
Batra.
We
pray
to
God
to
give
strength
to
the
bereaved
family
to
bear
the
immense
sorrow".
To
note,
Captain
Vikram
Batra's
unconditional
love
and
sacrifice
had
made
it
to
the
screens
in
2021
after
Hiroo
Yash
Johar,
Karan
Johar,
Apoorva
Mehta,
Shabbir
Boxwala,
Ajay
Shah
and
Himanshu
Gandhi
came
together
to
produce
a
biopic
on
the
braveheart.
Titled
has
Shershaah,
the
movie
featured
Sidharth
Malhotra
playing
the
lead
role
and
was
based
on
Captain
Vikram
Batra's
life.
Talking
about
the
film,
Kamalkant
Batra
had
stated,
"I
got
very
emotional
when
he
was
suddenly
hit
by
a
bullet
in
the
film".
On
the
other
hand,
the
late
soldier's
father
GL
Batra
spoke
about
the
scene
wherein
Captain
Batra
was
gunned
down
by
the
enemies
in
the
movie
and
told
The
Quint,
"A
Pakistani
soldier
in
hiding
targets
him
and
some
three
to
four
bullets
hit
him
in
the
chest.
He
then
falls
down
and
bleeds
from
the
mouth
when
he
chants
his
unit's
war
cry
'Hail
Mother
Durga'
(Durga
mata
ki
jai).
He
then
falls
down
and
becomes
a
martyr.
It
was
a
very
emotional
moment
for
us".
