Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha EXCLUSIVE! Producer Shreyans Hirawat On Shifting Release Date Due To Kalki 2898 AD

Auron Mein Kaha Dum Tha release date: When the makers of Ajay Devgn and Tabu starrer Auron Mein Kaha Dum Tha announced the new release date, the movie buffs were surprised as the film was initially scheduled to hit the silver screens in July 2024. Considering the box office performance of Prabhas-Deepika Padukone's Kalki 2898 AD, the producers decided to postpone the release and avert a clash at the box office.

"Dear Friends, on request of the exhibitors and the distribution fraternity, we have collectively decided to shift the release date of our film, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha. New release date to be announced soon," the producers said in their statement. The trade experts called it a 'wise decision' as Kalki 2898 AD was raking in big moolah at the theatres and would have affected the performance of Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha.

AURON MEIN KAHAN DUM THA PRODUCER ON INDUSTRY'S REACTION TO TRAILER

With just a few days to go for the release of AMKDT, producer Shreyans Hirawat interacted with Filmibeat and spoke about the film, the decision behind averting the clash and postponing the release.

Every filmmaker is nervous before the 'Friday match' as his labour of hard work is available for public consumption. Shreyans is also pumped up as his much-awaited flick will arrive in the cinema halls this Friday. "I am excited for Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha. I have had butterflies in my stomach since the day we released the trailer. The industry and the audiences have loved the trailer. The film has given a new lens of cinema to the people, showing characters aging from one phase to another. It's a novel concept. We have received praise from specific industry folks, who mentioned that they are eager to watch something different in a new format. Blessed with all love," he quipped.

Auron Me Kaha Dum Tha follows a love story spanning two decades (from 2000 to 2003). The added twist of a murder mystery has created anticipation for the film. "All the pieces of the puzzle were fitting in right. From Ajay Devgn and Tabu's casting to Neeraj Pandey directing the movie, we couldn't be happier to have such a talented team," Shreyans Hirawat said.

WE FEEL WE ARE IN DRISHYAM ZONE

The talented producer believes that the emotions, drama and thrill aspect will work in favour of the film. When asked about the box office prediction for Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, he said that the genre is unexplored and the film will grab eyeballs due to the positive mouth-of-the-word publicity.

"There's a lot of twists and turns that we couldn't reveal before the release. The film is high on emotions and people's perspective. We always knew it was a word-of-mouth film that would generate buzz after the audiences watch it. One thing was sure, it is not your typical Singham-kind film where we put up hoardings and expect the audience to watch. We feel we are in a Drishyam zone and it is a genre that is unexplored," he added.

Shreyans Hirawat strongly believes that a film needs to reach to the audience at the right time and place. "We decided to postpone the release of Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha after considering all the parameters. The exhibitors and distributors asked us to change the release date as it would affect the performance of both films."

Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha will entertain the audience from August 2, 2024.
