on
December
14,
2023,
following
wrapping
up
the
shoot
of
his
upcoming
film,
Welcome
To
The
Jungle.
He
underwent
angioplasty,
and
now

has
returned
home
safe
and
spoke
about
the
harrowing
experience
he
had
when
he
was
taken
to
the
hospital
post-attack.
Stating
that
he
had
never
been
hospitalised
in
his
life,
Shreyas
said
that
he
felt
breathless
and
that
the
health
emergency
made
him
realise
that
'health
is
wealth.'
Shreyas
opens
up
about
his
heart
attack
Speaking
to
The
Times
of
India
in
an
interview,
Shreyas
Talpade
shared
that
he
experienced
pain
in
his
left
arm
after
the
film's
shoot.
His
condition
got
worse
after
he
reached
home,
and
his
wife,
Deepti,
rushed
him
to
the
hospital.
The
actor,
who
is
recovering
at
home,
mentioned
that
his
family
has
a
history
of
heart
ailments.
The
47-year-old
star
revealed
that
he
has
been
working
consistently
since
the
age
of
20
and
lately
has
been
feeling
'extremely
fatigued'
because
of
his
hectic
work
schedule.
He
said,
"I
was
working
nonstop,
I
thought
I
was
just
a
little
exhausted
which
is
normal.
I
loved
what
I
was
doing
so
I
kept
going.
Of
course,
I
got
myself
checked.
I
got
an
ECG,
2D
Echo,
sonography
and
blood
tests
done.
My
cholesterol
was
high,
and
I
was
taking
medication
for
that.
I've
had
a
family
history
of
heart
ailments,
which
is
why
I
was
taking
precautions.
'I
had
never
experienced
this
kind
of
fatigue."
Further,
elaborating
on
what
happened
on
the
day
of
acute
cardiac
arrest,
the
Golmaal
actor
stated
that
he
was
shooting
for
Ahmed
Khan's
Welcome
To
The
Jungle
and
was
doing
army
training
sequences
when
suddenly,
after
the
last
shot,
he
felt
breathlessness.
He
added,
"I
could
barely
walk
to
my
vanity
van
and
change
my
clothes.
I
thought
it
was
a
muscle
pull
since
we
were
shooting
action
sequences."
Shreayas
then
said
that
he
passed
out
in
his
car
when
his
wife,
Deepti,
was
taking
him
to
the
hospital.
The
actor
stated,
"Deepti
couldn't
get
out
of
the
car
from
her
side
of
the
door
as
we
were
stuck
in
traffic,
so
she
climbed
over
me
and
got
to
the
other
side
to
call
for
help.
A
few
people
came
to
our
rescue
and
rushed
me
inside.
The
doctors
did
CPR,
electrical
shock,
that's
how
they
revived
me."
During
the
conversation,
Shreyas
urged
people
to
not
take
their
health
for
granted
and
regularly
get
checked
by
a
doctor.
He
also
revealed
that
he
doesn't
smoke
and
follows
a
healthy
lifestyle.
"This
is
my
second
chance
at
life!
I
cannot
tell
you
how
thankful
I
am
to
everyone
who
played
a
role
in
saving
my
life.
And,
of
course,
my
superwoman
wife,
who
did
everything
she
could
in
her
capacity
to
save
me.
She
is
the
reason
we
are
talking
today,"
he
concluded.
