However, husband Ranveer Singh attended the grand ceremony and revealed the reason why she couldn't come to the event where he also revealed a thing or two about 'baby Simmba'.

In a viral video, Ranveer Singh could be heard revealing that Deepika is busy with 'baby Simmba' and that's why she couldn't come. He also revealed that his parent duty is at night and that's why he has come. In the same video, Ranveer Singh also talked about Baby Simmba's debut because at that time of the shooting, Deepika was pregnant. He also called her newborn daughter 'Baby Simmba'. Furthermore, he continued saying that Simmba, Lady Singham, and Baby Simmba wish everyone a very Happy Diwali in advance.
