However, there were many rumours, controversies, and speculations around it which made it even more limelight worthy. One of them is Sonakshi's brothers, Luv and Kussh, not attending their only sister's wedding.

While the duo faced media and internet backlash for the same, they stayed mum, until Luv finally opened up about the same and hinted at why he hadn't attended the wedding in the first place. On Tuesday, Luv took to Twitter and revealed a thing or two about Zaheer's family.

A day after his 'family will always come first' post, Luv took to Twitter and shared a section of an article shared by Telegraph accusing Sonakshi's father-in-law, Iqbal Ratansi, of suspicious practices, "With carefully curated news stories about his family business, nobody tread grey areas like the groom's father's proximity to a politician whose ED enquiries had vanished in the "washing machine". Nor was there a whiff of the groom's father's stint in Dubai...."

Sharing the piece of the article, Luv wrote, "The reasons are very clear as to why I didn't attend, and would not associate with some people no matter what. I'm glad a member of the media did their research instead of relying on creative stories being put out by a PR team."

Amid Luv's confession, Shatrughan Sinha tweeted and called the couple 'made for each other', he wrote, "Thanking everyone for their blessings love & warm congratulatory messages.
