When Sridevi Was Called The Sex Siren Of Hindi Cinema
In her interview in 1987, at the peak of her career, Sridevi was asked what her thoughts are about the image of being the 'sex siren of Hindi cinema', she said that she enjoys the compliments more when they talk about her acting rather than her look, she said, "I feel very bad. When people come and tell me how beautiful I looked in a film, I don't react. But when they tell me I acted well I feel proud."
She was further reacted to being asked about her willingness to bare more than others for which she 'became number one', she said, "If that's the case then whoever reveals a lot should be number one. Why are they not? If I look sexy just wearing a sari, can I help it? There are so many girls who reveal much more but they don't look anything."
