Exclusive! Stree 2: Abhishek Banerjee On Shraddha & Rajkummar Getting Credit For Success, "They Deserve..."

Stree 2 starring Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Abhishek Banerjee, Pankaj Tripathi, and Apatshakti Khurana has received a fantastic response at the box office. Now, after the film's release a lot people have been giving the credit to Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor for the movie's success. There are headlines with just their names. Filmibeat recently interacted with Abhishek Banerjee and spoke to him about Shraddha and Rajkummar getting the credit.

When asked him if he feels a bit bad about these two actors getting the credit as Stree 2 is a proper multi-star cast film, the actor said, "They both have done a lot of hard work. Raj has done so much of hard work, he is the only actor after Mithun Chakraborty, from FTII, who has become a hero. Shraddha has been working from so many years, so they deserve the attention they are getting."

"We are getting more than what we expected. You called it a multi-star cast; earlier actors like us were called ensemble cast, now you are calling it star cast; that is a big change. When audience is showing the love, you (journalists) guys are showing the love, what more than this we want! There will be one day when we will also get the credit and at that time maybe the actors who are junior to us will feel bad. But, I keep telling them that don't feel bad for being in your own shoes; you are not in their shoes, you don't know what they are going through. So, let them enjoy their space and we are enjoying our space. Everybody is happy that the film is making money, audience is loving it; there's no time to have any kind of bitter or negative thought," Abhishek added.

Stree 2 Box Office Collection

In 11 days, the film has collected Rs. 384.50 crore which is excellent. It will clearly cross the 500 crore mark at the box office, and we won't be surprised if it reaches Rs. 600 crore mark as well.
