Stree 2 Actor Mushtaq Khan Alleges Abduction And Ransom Demand Following Deceptive Event Invitation

After being reportedly lured to an event under false pretenses, actor Mushtaq Khan has come forward with claims of abduction, following a similar incident involving comedian Sunil Pal. Shivam Yadav, Khan's business associate, detailed to India Today Digital the harrowing experience that Khan endured. According to Yadav, Khan was invited to participate in an award ceremony Meerut on November 20, for which he was paid an advance and provided with flight tickets. However, upon his arrival in Delhi, instead of being escorted to the event, he was taken to a remote area near Bijnor.

Yadav recounted how the alleged abductors subjected Khan to torture for nearly half a day while demanding a ransom of one crore rupees. They managed to extract over Rs 2 lakh from Khan and his son's bank accounts before Khan, hearing the morning azaan, seized the opportunity to escape. He found refuge near a mosque and, with the assistance of local residents and police, made his way back home. This distressing episode prompted Khan, despite being deeply traumatized, to resolve to press charges. "Mushtaq sir and his family were completely shaken over what happened with him. However, he was always sure that he would file an FIR after he composed himself. Yesterday, I went to Bijnor and filed an official FIR. We have proof of the flight ticket, the bank accounts and even CCTV footage near the airport. He also recognises the neigbhourhood, even the house where he was kept. I think the police team will surely get the culprits soon," Yadav explained.

The peculiar similarity between Khan's ordeal and the recent kidnapping of Sunil Pal has raised questions about a possible criminal ring targeting figures in the entertainment industry. Yadav expressed his shock upon learning of the parallel incident, highlighting the importance of raising awareness and ensuring the safety of public personalities. "We had no clue about the case. After Mushtaq sir returned, we spoke about the incident with a few of our close friends. When Sunil's case was highlighted in the media, they informed us about the same. It is shocking that two public figures from the industry had to go through a similar ordeal. We hope there is awareness and protection in the future for everyone."

Currently, Khan, known for his role in "Stree 2," is reported to be recovering from the traumatic experience and plans to publicly address the situation in the coming days. The incident has shed light on the potential dangers faced by celebrities and the need for increased vigilance and security measures to protect them from such threats.
