Stree 2 Budget And Box Office Target: Directed by Amar Kaushik, Stree 2 is the highly anticipated follow-up to the 2018 blockbuster Stree. The sequel stars Shraddha Kapoor in the lead role, with Rajkummar Rao joining her for another thrilling adventure. Since its announcement and trailer release, the horror-comedy has captured significant attention from both fans and moviegoers.

As Stree 2 finally hit the theatres today (August 15), many fans are intrigued and looking forward to watching it on the big screen.

Produced by Dinesh Vijan and Jyoti Deshpande under Maddock Films and Jio Studios, Stree 2 has generated significant buzz since its trailer dropped. Released on August 15 to coincide with Independence Day, the film promises a thrilling cinematic experience. Set in Chanderi, the story revolves around a headless creature that is terrorizing the town by abducting women, spreading fear throughout the community.

As one of the most anticipated movies of 2024, Stree 2 has surpassed an 11-year-old record for the highest-paid reviews, outshining Shah Rukh Khan's Chennai Express. In Stree 2, Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor are joined by a host of familiar faces, including Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurana, and Sunita Rajwar. Tamannaah Bhatia also joins the cast as Shama, a character previously introduced in a special appearance in the song Aaj Ki Raat.

The horror drama is going head-to-head at the box office with Akshay Kumar's Khel Khel Mein and John Abraham's Vedaa. According to reports, Stree 2 is a mid-budget film, with production costs estimated to be over Rs 50 crore, though the official figures have not been released yet.

STREE 2 BOX OFFICE TARGET AND DAY 1 PREDICTION

Early signs suggest that Stree 2 is all set to take the box office by storm and the occasion of Independence Day is going to further boost its business. It's likely to earn between Rs 30-40 crore on the domestic front on Friday and is expected to easily cross the Rs 100 crore mark in the extended weekend.

Considering its estimated budget, Stree 2 needs to earn at least Rs 65-70 crore domestically to be considered a successful venture at the box office and it is likely to earn this much in just two or three days of its release. So yes, it is all set to become one of the biggest hits of the year.
