Stree 2: Who Is Sarkata Bhoot? Know All About The New Villain Of Rajkummar-Shraddha’s Horror Comedy

Stree 2 Who Is Sarkata Bhoot: After giving a massive hit like Stree in 2018, Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao are returning with Stree 2 Sarkate Ka Aatank and the audience can't keep calm about it. The horror comedy, which is helmed by Amar Kaushik, is the much awaited sequel of the Stree and will also feature Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee and Aparshakti Khurana in the lead. From the trailer to the songs, everything about Stree 2 has been making headlines ever since it was announced.

While Stree dealt with Stree and her wrath on the Chanderi village, Stree 2 is about Sarkate Ka Aatank which is taking over Chanderi. In fact, unlike Stree, Stree 2 will have the sarkata ghost targetting the women of Chanderi. As Rajkumar aka Vicky (Chanderi Ka Rajkumar) is gearing up to save Chanderi with his gang, fans have been curious to know about the sarkata bhoot.

Who Is Sarkata Bhoot?

For the uninitiated, Stree 2 is based on local folklore about the Sarkata Bhoot. While there have been rumours about people dying in accidents becoming this evil entity, a folklore from Uttarakhand states that Sarkata Bhoot is actually the spirit of a British officer who died during the Word War II. There are reports that his headless ghost is a vengeful spirit who lost his head and has been looking for it ever since in the forests of Uttarakhand. Interestingly, apart from sarkata bhoot, Uttarakhand is also known for several supernatural ghost stories around Chhalawa - a supernatural being who is capable of transforming into any person or animal to lure its target.

To note, Stree 2 is all set to have a box office clash with Akshay Kumar, Taapsee Pannu, Ammy Virk, Vaani Kapoor starrer Khel Khel Mein and John Abraham and Sharvari's action drama Vedaa. It will be interesting to see who will win the box office game
