However, in a shocking turn of events, the actress has been denied permission for her performance.

Bollywood actress-host-entrepreneur Sunny Leone was apparently supposed to perform at the University College of Engineering campus in Kerala capital Thiruvananthapuram on July 5, 2024.

According to a report published by Manorama, Dr. Mohanan Kunnummal, the Vice Chancellor of Kerala University, has supposedly directed the registrar to remove Sunny Leone's performance from the college's scheduled program list. As reported by NDTV, he further instructed that the "union will not be permitted to organize such events inside or outside the campus."

As per reports, Dr. Mohanan Kunnummal's decision comes after after the tragic accident which took place at the Cochin University last year.

In November 2023, four students died and almost 64 students got injured in a stampede at a concert at Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) in Ernakulam, Kerala. After that, the state government imposed a ban on external DJ parties, music nights etc. on college campuses.
