While the makers are yet to officially announce the name of Yash's leading lady for this film, it is said that Kiara Advani has been roped in to play the female lead. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic: A Fairytale For Grown-Ups was officially announced on December 8, 2023. Sharing the title with an intriguing clip on Instagram, Yash captioned it, "'What you seek is seeking you' - Rumi! A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups #TOXIC"

Decribed as an action-packed movie centred around the world of drug mafia, Toxic is st to hit cinemas on April 10, 2025.

Nayanthara In Talks To Replace Kareena Kapoor Khan In Toxic

According to reports, Toxic has a strong sibling emotion and the role of the sister is very crucial to the narrative. After Bebo's exit from the highly-anticipated project, the makers are apparently in talks with Nayanthara, according to Pinkvilla.

As the report further suggests, Yash and director Geetu already had multiple meetings with the Jawan actress. Nayanthara seems to have given a nod for Yash's sister's role.

"Nayanthara has shown her interest in doing Toxic and the logistics are being figured out at this point in-time. It's a well-sketched character of a sister and suits her image of a strong woman. Nayanthara is impressed that Geethu Mohandas has written such a strong character for a female and she is connecting well with her vision," a source informed the portal.

"The talks are on, and the team is working collectively to get the logistics in place. If everything goes well, the makers will have Nayanthara on board in a fortnight," the source added.

If reports are to be believed, Kareena Kapoor Khan and the makers of Toxic have parted ways amicably after the actress opted out of the project citing date issues.
