According to reports, the actress had attempted suicide died by suicide and was found dead in her apartment in Mumbai on June 7, 2024. While the investigation is currently underway, the police have ruled out her tragic death a suicide.

According to NDTV, Malabika Das, who played a supporting character in Kajol-Jisshu Sengupta starrer Disney+ Hotstar series 'The Trial', was reportedly found hanging from the ceiling in her bedroom of her Lokhandwala apartment, Mumbai. As per reports, Malabika's dead body was found by the Oshiwara police in decomposed state.

As reported by Mid-Day, the tragic incident came into notice after Malabika's neighbors reported a foul smell coming from her apartment and informed it to the Oshiwara police.

According to the report, an officer was quoted saying, "We spoke to her family. They had returned to their native place two weeks ago. Investigation is underway."

Who Was Noor Malabika Das?

The tragic death news of Noor Malabika Das, best known for her role in Kajol's OTT debut series 'The Trial', took everyone by shock.

As per reports, before entering the showbiz industry, the 32-year-old, who supposedly hailed from Assam, had previously worked as an air hostess with Qatar Airways.

She was quite active on Instagram and had 163k followers on the photo sharing app.

Besides Kajol-Jisshu Sengupta's show, she also appeared in a couple of projects including 'Siskiyaan', 'Walkaman', 'Teekhi Chatni',' Jaghanya Upaya', 'Charamsukh', 'Dekhi Andekhi', 'Backroad Hustle' and more.
