Year Ender 2024 Upcoming Bollywood Sequels In 2025: As this year comes to a close, Bollywood is gearing up for its dynamic release slate of new releases in 2025 to take care of our entertainment. The Hindi film industry will be dominating the landscape hopping on to the sequel and film franchise trend. From 'War 2' to 'Housefull 5'; we bring you a list of upcoming sequel and film franchises to look forward to in 2025.
1) War 2
Release Date: 14th August 2025
Hrithik Roshan is all set to be back as agent Kabir in YRF's spy-universe film 'War 2'. This time, the actor will be locking horns with Jr NTR. Directed by Aayn Mukerji, Hrithik will be seen romancing Kiara Advani in the sequel.
2) Raid 2
Release Date: 1st May 2025
Brace yourselves as Ajay Devgn will be returning on big screens as IRS officer Amay Patnaik. Vaani Kapoor will play Ajay's leading lady, while Riteish Deshmukh has come on board as the villain.
3) Jolly LLB 3
Release Date: 11th April 2025
What will happen when both the Jolly-s come together in a film? Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi joined hands for the third installment of the much-loved franchise. Directed by Subhash Kapoor, the film will see Saurabh Shukla reprising his role of the judge alongside Huma Qureshi as the female lead.
4) Welcome To The Jungle
Release Date: 2025
Directed by Ahmed Khan, the third installment of the Welcome franchise boasts a star-studded ensemble including names like Akshay Kumar, Raveena Tandon, Sanjay Dutt, Anil Kapoor, Suniel Shetty, Jacqueline Fernande, Disha Patani, Paresh Rawal, Johnny Lever, Shreyas Talpade, Krushna Abhishek, Aftab Shivdasani and Kiku SHarda among others.
5) Housefull 5
Release Date: 6th June 2025
Sajid Nadiadwala and Akshay Kumar-Riteish Deshmukh are back with Housefull 5. Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, the fifth installment also features Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan, Nana Patekar, Jackie Shroff, Chunk Panday, Jacqueline Fernandez, Fardeen Khan, Johnny Lever, Dino Morea, Chitrangada Singh, Nargis Fakhri, Soundarya Sharma and Sonam Bajwa.
6) Baaghi 4
Release Date: 5th September 2025
Tiger Shroff took everyone by surprise with his new bulked avatar in Baaghi 4. Starring Jackie Shroff as the antagonist, the film stars Sonam Bajwa as the female lead.
7) Son Of Sardaar 2
Release Date: 2025
Ajay Devgn already started shooting for the sequel to his 2012 film 'Son Of Sardaar'. Directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, Mrunal Thakur has been roped in to play the leading lady in the sequel.
8) De De Pyaar De 2
Release Date: 14th November 2025
After the box office success of Shaitaan, Ajay Devgn and R. Madhavan will come together once again in Luv Ranjan-produced De De Pyaar 2. Rakul Preet Singh will be seen as the leading lady.
9) Metro... In Dino
Release Date: 2025
Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi, Anupam Kher, Konkona Sen Sharma, Ali Fazal and Fatima Sana Shaikh come joined hands for this Anurag Basu directorial. The film was previously scheduled to hit cinemas in 2024 but got postponed. While the official release date is yet to-be-announced, it is expected that the film might hit big screens in 2025.
10) Dhadak 2
Release Date: 2025
Triptii Dimri and Siddhant Chaturvedi will be seen romancing each other for the first time in the upcoming Dharma sequel 'Dhadak 2'.
