71st National Film Awards Best Actress Winner: The 71st National Film Awards are set to celebrate outstanding achievements in cinema today and the winners list for the prestigious award has been announced today. Films certified by the Central Board of Film Certification between January 1, 2023, and December 31, 2023, are eligible for recognition. For the uninitiated, Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway is a legal drama was inspired by the real-life story of Anurup Bhattacharya and Sagarika Chakraborty, an Indian immigrant couple whose children were taken away by Norwegian authorities in 2011. Rani was lauded by everyone for her nuanced performance as she brought Sagarika Chakraborty's story to the big screen.

Apart from her, Shah Rukh Khan also received his first National Film Award for the first time in 33 years for his stint in Jawan and had shared the laurel with Vikrant Massey for his performance in the highly acclaimed 12th Fail.
