The video of Aadar saying "I was doing timepass for 20 years" went viral on social media after his wedding. Many called him out for being "insensitive" towards ex Tara Sutaria. Addressing the same, Aadar said to ETimes, "In this scenario from day one, there have been so many things written. Out of respect, everyone has been silent about it. People then take the liberty to say what they want (sic)." Calling the situation unfair for him, Alekha and their family, Aadar cleared that the video that went viral was "misconstrued."

Aadar claimed that the video that went viral on social media was only 10 seconds of the speech that he said at the wedding. He stated, "They misconstrued what I said and took 10 seconds of it. And then people form their own opinions about it. People have made it out to be something else and directed it towards someone else (sic)." Aadar cleared the air saying that he never meant to direct anything towards anyone. Indeed, clearing that he was not thinking of his ex Tara Sutaria while marrying Alekha Advani.

Calling the whole story of Alekha stealing away Aadar from Tara "baseless", Alekha said, "I don't have anything to say because I know the truth. I've lived next to this guy for my whole life." She then addressed the narrative that people made on the internet. Calling everything "baseless" and "not fair" Alekha said that even "she (Tara) knows that we've been friends for so long." Alekha however understands that people will say different things but she has issue with her upbringing, values and ethics being questioned.
