Aamir Khan, who is busy with the promotions of Sitaare Zameen Par, recently shared an interesting revelation about the film Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Although the script initially came to him, he believed Salman Khan was the ideal choice for the lead role. The movie, released in 2015, became a significant box office hit and is still one of Salman's most cherished performances.

During a conversation with Mashable India, Aamir discussed films he declined over the years. When asked about Josh, he humorously remarked, "Josh maine mana nahi ki yaar. Josh ka mat pucho (I didn't say no to Josh, yaar. Don't even ask me about Josh)." He clarified that he was never approached for Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, as Shah Rukh Khan was always intended for it.

Aamir's Decision on Bajrangi Bhaijaan

Reflecting on Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Aamir said, "Bajrangi Bhaijaan mere paas aayi thi. Aur kahaani sunke…ye bhi appreciate karo meri sachhai…Kahaani sunke maine Vijayendra (screenwriter) ji ko bola 'Sir, ismein Salman hona chahiye'. (Bajrangi Bhaijaan came to me. And after hearing the story… please also appreciate my honesty — after hearing it, I told Vijayendra ji, 'Sir, Salman should be in this')."

He further explained that although the script didn't go directly to Salman Khan initially, it reached director Kabir Khan first. Kabir then took it to Salman. Aamir's immediate reaction upon receiving the script was to suggest Salman for the role.
