Aamir Khan Cameo In Coolie: Sitaare Zameen Par Actor Drops Major Update About His Role In Rajinikanth's Film

As Aamir Khan gears up for his return to the big screens nearly 3 years after the box office debacle of 'Laal Singh Chaddha', the actor has dropped a major update on his cameo in legendary actor Rajinikanth's next biggie 'Coolie'.

Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Rajinikanth's upcoming Tamil-language action-thriller also includes Telugu superstar Nagarjuna and Kannada star Upendra Rao. Previously, it was reported that Aamir's character in Coolie would have negative traits.

During a recent interview, Aamir Khan himself confirmed his cameo in the Rajinikanth starrer. Talking about his character, the 60-year-old said, "My character in the film #Coolie will be interesting. Everyone will like this character. (sic)"

Earlier, Kannada actor Upendra had confirmed Aamir Khan's cameo in Coolie. During the promotions of '45', when he was asked about whether he had shot any scene with Nagarajuna and Aamir Khan, as reported by Pinkvilla, the actor replied, "Yeah yeah, we have combination scenes together. (sic)"

Ahead of Sitaare Zameen Par's much-awaited release on June 20, 2025, Aamir Khan is juggling back-to-back promotions. In one of the interviews, Khan confirmed his upcoming superhero film with Coolie director Lokesh Kanagaraj. Talking to Just Too Filmy, Aamir Khan revealed that the said superhero film is expected to go on floors around August-September next year. "Lokesh and I are doing a film together. Ye film agle saal banegi. He is right now going to shoot Kaithi. So, next year, August-September we will start, (sic)" the actor was quoted saying.

Aamir Khan had previously stated, "Lokesh and I are doing a film together. It's a superhero film - a big-scale action outing. The film will begin in the second half of 2026. We have both signed it. I cannot reveal anything further. (sic)"

Coming back to Sitaare Zameen Par, a recent Pinkvilla report claimed that the film is releasing in 1200 theatres.
