Aishwarya Rai's SIL 'Deeply Hurt' By Trolls
Aishwarya Rai's sister-in-law Shrima Rai opened up about her feelings towards all the trolls she faced. She said, "Something was thrown completely out of context, and before I knew it, I was being painted as this new character in a Bollywood saga that they were writing about." However, throughout her conversation, Shrima did not mention Aishwarya's name but kept indirectly pointing. Shrima talked about how the controversy around her began in November and there were comments regarding her business that she built it on someone else's name.
Addressing the same, Shrima said, "It was almost like when you watch those Indian TV dramas, a new character came in, and that new character was Shrima Rai. That's how I felt." Calling out all the trolls, Shrima said that she does not need her family connections to be her "calling card." "I didn't want my connection to the family to be my calling card," she said, adding, "It's one thing to have the support of whoever you are related to, but if you are doing it on your own, it's very unfair for someone to take that away from you," said Shrima.
Shrima further recalled being portrayed as a "shady" person by the trolls. She addressed being compared continuously with Aishwarya, without taking her name directly. Aishwarya's fans always questioned why her sister-in-law never posted pictures with her. However with time the controversy faded.
