Akshay Kumar's Welcome To The Jungle is experiencing significant financial challenges, leading to production delays and unpaid cast members. The film's future is uncertain as major filming remains incomplete.

Welcome To The Jungle Update: Bollywood star Akshay Kumar's film, Welcome To The Jungle (Welcome 3), which began production in December 2023, is reportedly facing significant financial difficulties. Media sources indicate that filming has been paused due to monetary issues and unpaid dues. The last filming session took place in August 2023, but no progress has been made since then.
The film's future remains uncertain as a substantial portion of the shoot is incomplete. According to Pinkvilla, the situation is troubling because none of the cast members have received their promised payments. "Around two to three schedules of Welcome To The Jungle have been cancelled over the last six months, leaving the actors and their team confused about the prospects," a source informed the news portal.
Financial Stake and Cast Details
Another report from a Hindi news outlet revealed that Akshay Kumar holds an 80% stake in the project, while producer Firoz Nadiadwala and others own the remaining 20%. However, Nadiadwala has not publicly commented on these issues yet. The film was announced in September 2023, coinciding with Akshay's 56th birthday celebration.
The cast boasts notable names such as Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty, Arshad Warsi, Paresh Rawal, Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Daler Mehndi, Mika Singh, Rahul Dev, Mukesh Tiwari, Sharib Hashmi, Inaamulhaq, Zakir Hussain, Yashpal Sharma, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Jacqueline Fernandez, Disha Patani and Vrihi Kodvara. Directed by Ahmed Khan, it was initially set for release on December 20, 2024.
Production Challenges and Actor Support
"The actors have been allotting dates for the shoot of Welcome To The Jungle to producer Firoz Nadiadwala," continued the source. "The same stands cancelled at the last minute due to logistical and financial issues." There are also concerns about unpaid dues to actors and their staff. Some originally cast actors have exited the project.
Despite these challenges, remaining cast members continue to support the project out of affection for the franchise. They believe in its popularity and are willing to adjust their schedules to complete Welcome To The Jungle. This dedication highlights their commitment to seeing the film through despite ongoing obstacles.
The film's journey has been fraught with delays and uncertainties due to financial constraints. With major parts still unfilmed and payment issues unresolved for many involved parties, its completion remains in question. Fans eagerly await updates on whether this beloved franchise will overcome its current hurdles.
