Anshuman Jha Confirms Lakadbhaggha 3, Plans To Shoot In Chile Post Meeting With President Gabriel Boric Font

After meeting Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in New Delhi, the President of Chile, His Excellency Gabriel Boric Font, continued his diplomatic visit to India with a stop in Mumbai. The visit marked a significant moment in Indo-Chilean cultural relations, as the President and his delegation explored opportunities for collaboration in the field of cinema and the arts. Among the notable engagements in Mumbai was a meeting with filmmaker and actor Anshuman Jha, founder of First Ray Films. Jha was accompanied by key members of the Chilean delegation, including the Minister of Culture and Arts, Ms. Carolina Arredondo.
During the meeting, the possibility of cultural exchange between India and Chile through cinema was discussed in depth. Jha, who recently concluded filming Lakadbaggha 2 in Indonesia-making it the first officially sanctioned Indian production shot in the country-is now exploring the idea of taking his next film to Chile. The proposed project is the third installment in his action franchise, which could mark the first major Bollywood production to be filmed in the South American nation.
"I come from theatre, so any cultural exchange through the arts is an exciting endeavour," said Jha. "With so many divisive elements in the world, it is truly inspiring to meet a leader who is committed to encouraging unity and dialogue through the arts. It was an honour to meet His Excellency President Gabriel Boric Font, and I hope to contribute to his vision by showcasing Chile's breathtaking beauty and rich culture through our cinema."
The Chilean delegation also made a significant visit to Yash Raj Studios, where discussions took place regarding future collaborations. Among them were early talks of Pathaan 2 by Yash Raj Films and Lakadbaggha 3 by First Ray Films being partially shot in Chile in 2026. These developments highlight the growing cultural and cinematic ties between the two nations.
