Bhool Chuk Maaf First Review: Rajkummar Rao, Wamiqa Gabbi Starrer Termed As Time Paas; Film Is Not…

Bhool Chuk Maaf First Review

Bhool Chuk Maaf First Review: Originally planned for a May 9 theatrical release, Bhool Chuka Maaf, a much-awaited film by Maddock Films, has taken an unexpected turn. Following the rising tensions between India and Pakistan after the Pahalgam terror attack, the makers decided to skip the big screen and release the film directly on Amazon Prime Video.

This sudden shift to a digital premiere caught fans and industry experts by surprise. While many were looking forward to its theatre run, the change in release plans has now led to a legal dispute, adding another twist to the film's journey.

After choosing a direct OTT release, Bhool Chuk Maaf, starring Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi, faced legal trouble. The film's makers were sued by PVR Inox, the multiplex chain that had partnered with them for its theatrical release. The lawsuit claimed a breach of contract, leading to a reported loss of Rs 60 crore for the chain.

However, the issue was eventually settled, and now, the film is finally making its way to theatres, much to the delight of fans.

BHOOL CHUK MAAF FIRST REVIEW IS OUT

Directed by Karan Sharma, the film stands out from regular romantic comedies. Set in the colourful and culturally rich city of Varanasi, the film mixes love, humour, and an interesting time-loop twist to offer something fresh and exciting for the audience.
Giving it 3 stars, the reviewer called Bhool Chuk Maaf "time paas" and wrote, "Despite being a Comedy movie, it's not entertaining, but it's a good one-time-watchable movie."

BHOOL CHUK MAAF CAST AND PLOT DETAILS

Bhool Chuk Maaf is a quirky time-loop comedy featuring Rajkummar Rao as Ranjan, a die-hard romantic who believes that landing a government job is his only shot at impressing the strict father of his beloved Titli, portrayed by Wamiqa Gabbi. Just when things seem to be going perfectly, Ranjan's world turns upside down - he finds himself trapped in a time loop, waking up every day on the 29th, the day of his Haldi ceremony, no matter what he does.

The trailer shows Ranjan excitedly preparing for his big day, setting the 30th as the wedding date. After celebrating his Haldi on the 29th, he goes to bed eager to marry Titli, only to wake up again on the same day. As this strange cycle repeats, his frustration grows, and he begins to question whether he'll ever move forward.

The film is described as a funny yet emotional journey that explores love, fate, and second chances. Alongside the leads, the movie also stars seasoned actors like Sanjay Mishra, Raghuvir Yadav, and Seema Pahwa, adding more heart and humour to the story.
