Then, reports went rife that she had decided to cancel her Cannes 2025 debut this year due to the India-Pakistan conflict as she wanted to "express solidarity with the country and decided against going," as reported by Mid-Day.

Quashing the talks around her skipping the Cannes 2025 appearance, Alia Bhatt took to her Instagram story and confirmed her Cannes debut.

On Friday early morning, Alia Bhatt was spotted at the Mumbai airport, flaunting her stylish airport look in a fitted white top and a pair of blue denim with a beige trench coat over it, as she jetted to France for her Cannes 2025 debut.

Earlier, Alia had expressed her excitement around her Cannes debut and said, "There's something absolutely special about firsts - and I'm so excited to make my Festival de Cannes debut this year, an iconic celebration of cinema and self-expression. It is such an honour to represent L'Oréal Paris at the Festival with this year's theme, 'Lights, Beauty and Action'. (sic)"

For those unversed, the Cannes 2025 closing ceremony is happening tomorrow (Saturday, May 24). That means, Alia Bhatt is expected to make her grand debut at Cannes 2025 on Saturday. However, there is no official confirmation yet. She might make her debut today as well.

On May 13, Alia Bhatt penned a lengthy note on Instagram and shared her concern about the India-Pakistan conflict. She wrote in her note, "The last few nights have felt... different.
