Bollywood actress Celina Jaitly has initiated legal proceedings against her husband, Peter Haag, citing domestic violence. The Mumbai court has taken notice and issued a formal notice to Haag, following allegations of cruelty and manipulation under the Domestic Violence Act. The case details and the schedule for upcoming hearings are yet to be disclosed.
As per PTI, in her complaint, Celina also listed several instances where her husband had indulged in physical and verbal abuse. The plea further stated that Haag had filed a divorce application before a court in Austria in August this year. Jaitly has sought a direction that her estranged husband pay a sum of Rs 50 crore as compensation and Rs 10 lakh per month as maintenance. She has also sought access to her three children, who are presently living with their father in Austria.,
Celina Jaitly's recent legal action follows a prior plea involving her brother, Major (Retd.) Vikrant Jaitly. Last month, she approached a Delhi court concerning his alleged illegal detention in the United Arab Emirates. He has been residing there since 2016, associated with the MATITI Group, a consultancy and trading firm.
