Dharmendra Death Reason: In one of the heartbreaking news from Bollywood, Dharmendra is no more with us. The veteran actor breathed his last at the age of 89. The news of Dharmendra's unfortunate demise came days after he returned home from hospital. For the uninitiated, Dharmendra was rushed to the hospital after he had complained of breathlessness. It is reported that his health kept deteriorating further and he was apparently kept on ventilator on November 10.

While several reports suggested that he was no more, the family members refuted the insensitive news and cleared that he's fine and was on his way of recovery. As the news of his health issues surfaced, several actors were seen rushing to the hospital including Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Sunny Deol, Karan Deol, Rajveer Deol etc were seen visiting Dharmendra in the hospital. Later, he got discharged from the hospital and was recovering at his residence. However, the news of his death today (November 24) has left everyone shocked and disheartened.

According to media reports, Dharmendra had died of age related issues. He breathed his last in his Juhu house while he was reportedly surrounded by his family members. The actor was said to be facing health issues for a while and had even limited his public appearances. To note, Dharmendra is survived by his first wife Prakash Kaur, sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, second wife Hema Malini and daughters Esha Deol and Ahana Deol.

Meanwhile, talking about the work front, Dharmendra, who gave classics like Sholay, Seeta Aur Geeta, Yaadon Ki Baaraat, Dharam Veer, Dram Girl, Chupke Chupke, etc, was last seen in the film "Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya" alongside Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon. This movie was released in 2024. His upcoming project is Ikkis which will mark Dharmendra's last onscreen appearance. Directed by Sriram Raghavan and featuring Agastya Nanda, Ikkis is a biopic on Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, focusing on the Battle of Basantar during the 1971 India-Pakistan War.
