Veteran actor Dharmendra has passed away at 89, prompting heartfelt tributes from Bollywood stars. His legacy in the film industry is celebrated as many express their sorrow over his loss.

The film industry mourns as veteran actor Dharmendra passed away at 89 in Mumbai on Monday, November 24. He was to celebrate his 90th birthday on December 8. Dharmendra had recently left Breach Candy Hospital. Although his family hasn't released a statement, filmmaker Karan Johar confirmed the news on social media, prompting a wave of tributes from Bollywood stars.
Many celebrities expressed their grief online, calling it the 'end of an era.' Among them was Akshay Kumar who said, "Growing up, Dharmendra ji was the hero every boy wanted to be…our industry's original He-Man. Thank you for inspiring generations. You'll live on through your films and the love you spread. Om Shanti."

Bollywood Pays Tribute
Kiara Advani shared a touching Instagram story featuring Dharmendra's photo with dove, white heart, and folded hands emojis.

Kareena Kapoor Khan simply wrote, "Forever in Power." Ananya Panday added, "The Greatest. Om Shanti."

Rakul Preet Singh's words were heartfelt: "Your presence lot up the screen, your memory will light up our hearts. Your journey inspired millions. May your soul rest in peace Dharam Ji."

Huma Qureshi echoed the sentiment, saying, "End of an Era." Vaani Kapoor described him as "Timeless. Iconic. Rest easy, sir."

Bidding goodbye to Dharmendra, seasoned director Subhash Ghai wrote, "I LOVE YOU ❤️ KHUSH RAHO 🙏🏽 Was the only voice from his soul to everyone he met always. One of the most genuine human being in indian cinema . I met him in my directorial film KRODHI in 1977. He was always inspiring. He always meets u like a family member n always smiling n hugging . He is the greatest story of no body to a national pride in cinema n inspiration to new generations n next too. Dharam paa ji voh bundaa hai. Jo hamare dil me sada zinda hai. God bless his noble soul. RIP."

Shilpa Shetty shared her feelings, "I've had the privilege of working with many talented actors, but none with a bigger heart than yours. Your talent, charm and dashing looks were just the beginning but your humility, simplicity and kindness was so inspiring. You were a true original, a shining star that touched so many hearts. Rest in peace you special soul. Dharamji, you will be missed."
