Dhurandhar Overseas Review: Ranveer Singh's massive fan following has all the reasons to be on cloud nine and rightfully so. After all, the versatile actor, who was last seen in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, followed by a cameo in Singham Again, is hitting the screens with a much awaited release. We are talking about Dhurandhar which is an action thriller. Written, directed, and co-produced by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar has been one of the most anticipated releases of the year and comes with a stellar cast of Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi. To note, Dhurandhar marks Ranveer's first collaboration with Aditya Dhar and as the movie has been creating waves across the town.
Interestingly, Dhurandhar is inspired by the real-life incidents, geopolitical conflicts, and covert operations of RAW, particularly Operation Lyari, a government-led crackdown on local gangs and crime syndicates in the Lyari area of Karachi, Pakistan. From the stellar cast to the intriguing plot and impressive soundtrack, Dhurandhar has been grabbing a lot of eyeballs. In fact, Dhurandhar is said to be one of the longest films ever in the Indian cinema. As Dhurandhar is hitting the screens on December 5, here's how it will fare in the overseas.
Dhurandhar Overseas Review
Taking to the micro-blogging site Twitter, self proclaimed critic Umari Sandhu gave Dhurandhar a four star rating and tweeted, "This film is out of syallbus! What a powerful & power packed film! 3 hours plus full of blast, dialogues baazi, creepy action stunts & engaging screenplay! @Ranveersingh is back with Bang Bang!! All underrated actors performed brilliantly specially Sanjay Dutt & Akshaye Khanna as Rehamana Dakait. He nailed it. Production designing specially Karachi Layari Town is applause worthy".
He further emphasised, "Climax & last half an hour of the film will give you shock. And it's the main USP of film. Last week Tere Ishk Mein and now this massy flick. Bollywood is back in golden days. Go for it".
Meanwhile, Ranveer has been all praises for his co-star Sara and during the press conference he stated, "Sara, I can't believe we are here on this stage. What a special moment for you. I'm honoured to be part of it, I'm lucky to be part of such a special moment for you. Sara here is a prodigy. Aapko pata chalega, kuchh log hote hain naa, matlab bachpan se hi aapko pata hai ki, they are just like a child prodigy. Like ek baar Dakota Fanning aayi thi Hollywood mein. I think, Sara, it's testament to the fact that you beat thousands of other candidates to land this part. And it's as if you were born to do this. Aise lagta hai yeh 50 film karke aayi hain. She's so precocious as a person, as a performer. You are one of the finest actors that I have shared screen with. You make me look better and my heartfelt gratitude for that. I just can't believe that it's your first film. Obviously, you know, somebody who I love and respect a lot, Mr Mani Ratnam sir, you have acted in his films as well, and you have showed your potential and this is where the world will see you, on the big stage. I'm really really happy and I'm very very proud of you. Thank you, Sara".
