In an interview with Fever FM, Rapper Flipperachi, pronounced as 'faasla', is more about a 'vibe' than a literal meaning. He explained, "FA9LA is a vibe. When I say 'I got a FA9LA', it means I have a vibe going on right now. The song talks about different dances. I turn everything into a dance, into a moment (sic)".

Born in Manama, Bahrain, as per starsunfolded.com, Rapper Flipperachi's real name is 'Hussam Muhammed Aseem'. As per the same site, the 36-year-old Bahraini rapper has become an overnight sensation in India with his iconic 'Fa9la' song in Dhurandhar. Back in 2013, he'd released his debut album 'Straight Out of 2Seas'.

In the same interview with Fever FM, Flipperachi revealed that the Dhurandhar makers had approached them first for the licence of the song. "They approached us first. They said they needed the licence for the song. They wanted the beat because they were planning to do their own version," he stated.

"Out of shortage of time, they said, 'You know what, the song is good by itself. Let's keep it like this'," the rapper added.
