Disha Salian Death Case: Bombay HC To Hear Disha Salian's Father's Plea For Fresh Investigation On April 2

In a significant development from New Delhi, the Bombay High Court has scheduled a hearing for the writ petition regarding the death of Disha Salian on April 2, 2025. The petition, initiated by Disha's father, Satish Salian, seeks a new investigation into the circumstances surrounding his daughter's death on June 8, 2020. Disha Salian tragically lost her life after a fall from the 14th floor of a residential building in Mumbai's Malad district. This case has been a topic of public interest, especially considering the subsequent death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput just days later, on June 14, 2020, which has also been subject to extensive investigation.

In connection with the request for a renewed investigation, Maharashtra's junior home minister, Yogesh Kadam, addressed the legislative assembly, asserting that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) examining Disha Salian's death will expedite its efforts. Kadam's commitment came in response to inquiries from both BJP and Shiv Sena MLAs regarding the timeline for the SIT's findings. "Had the state also been made party to it. So once we get directions from HC, we will take stern and appropriate action.
