Emraan Hashmi Health Update: Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi has been diagnosed with dengue while filming his Telugu debut, OG, in Mumbai. The actor was shooting in Aarey Colony, Goregaon when he began experiencing symptoms. Following medical advice, Emraan is now resting at home, and the film's production has been temporarily halted.
Emraan Hashmi is making his Telugu film debut with OG, a pan-Indian film set to release on September 25. During the shoot in Mumbai, he fell ill and was subsequently diagnosed with dengue. A source close to the production confirmed that Emraan is recuperating after experiencing symptoms.
Emraan's Health Comes First
The source mentioned that Emraan informed the filmmakers about his condition immediately. "Emraan Hashmi was shooting for OG in Aarey Colony, Goregaon, Mumbai. That's where he contracted the disease. He was not feeling well and had dengue-like symptoms. On the recommendation of the doctors, he got his tests done. The test confirmed that he is suffering from dengue," said the insider.
Upon learning about his health issues, the production team advised him to prioritise recovery over work commitments. "He has been advised rest. Emraan, being a thorough professional, immediately told the makers about his condition and expressed regret over his inability to shoot. The makers understood the situation; they told him not to worry and that he should focus on his health as that comes first," added the source.
Upcoming Projects Await
While there's no definitive timeline for his return to set, it's expected that Emraan will be out of action for about a week. Once he's fully recovered, he'll resume filming for OG. Meanwhile, fans can look forward to seeing him in another Telugu project titled Goodachari 2 alongside Adivi Sesh.
In addition to these projects, Emraan Hashmi is also preparing for Awarapan 2 under Nitin Kakkar's direction. This highly anticipated sequel adds to the excitement surrounding Emraan's upcoming ventures.
The actor's health remains a priority as he takes time off to recover from dengue before returning to work on these exciting projects.
