ENT Highlights (Feb 6): Deva Crosses 25Cr On Day 6; Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari Gets Postponed

Actor Vicky Kaushal, whose upcoming film "Chhaava" sparked controversy over a lezim dance sequence featuring his character Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, on Thursday said the now-deleted scene was an effort from the makers to promote Maharashtra's culture worldwide. Kaushal, who interacted with the media in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, said the intent of the cast and crew of "Chhaava" was clean right from the outset. "Not a single day went by when we didn't start work on the film without the Shivgarjana (slogans about the courage of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj). The lezim part was just for 20-30 seconds (in the film). Not just a (part of the) story but it was an effort of taking our culture to the globe. "Sambhaji Maharaj was a king of the people and if someone asked him to play (lezim) with them, the king would definitely oblige. But if his followers feel it was a bit off... It is not important to the story of the movie, so we have removed it," the actor told reporters here. Kaushal further said the upcoming film is based on novelist Shivaji Sawant's Marathi book "Chaava".

American singer-actor Nick Jonas arrived in Mumbai on Thursday to participate in the wedding celebrations of his brother-in-law Siddharth Chopra. According to videos circulating on social media, Nick -- who is married to Indian actor-producer Priyanka Chopra Jonas -- landed in the city today afternoon. Priyanka's younger brother Siddharth is set to marry actor Neelam Upadhyaya on Friday. Dressed in white athleisure with a cap, the singer waved to the paparazzi stationed outside the airport as he exited from the gates. He was accompanied by his bodyguard.

The recently released trailer of 'Mere Husband Ki Biwi' has left the netizens in splits. Now, the makers of the film dropped the film's situational comedy song, 'Gori Hai Kalaiyan', and it carries a very refreshing upbeat vibe. The song features Arjun Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, and Rakul Preet, who set the dance floor on fire with their infectious thumkas to deliver the ultimate party song of the season, with a blend of comedy. It's a catfight loading between Bhumi and Rakul, who literally go daggers at one another in the video. While Arjun's endearing avatar is appealing, he is caught bullied by two women and looks very affable while that happens. The song captures the feeling of 'Biwi No.1', 'No Entry', 'Saajan Chale Sasural'. The naughtiness that those songs and videos generated as opposed to conforming merely to the recent standards of chasing 'hooksteps' is clearly visible in 'Gori Hai Kalaiyan'.

Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri have joined hands for the upcoming Dharma Productions sequel Dhadak 2. According to Bollywood Hungama, the film is now slated to hit cinemas on Holi 2025, replacing Akshay Kumar, R Madhavan and Ananya Pandany's Kesari 2. An official announcement on the same is still awaited.

As Vicky Kaushal is gearing up for the release of Chhaava, he was seen seeking blessings at the Grishneshwar Temple in Aurangabad ahead of the movie's release on February 14.

Chunky Pandey, during a recent conversation with Mashable India, stated that Ananya Panday was "uncomfortable" doing Vijay Deverakonda starrer Liger. "She said, ‘Papa, I am too young to do this.’ I said you do this; it’s a commercial, a big film, but maybe she was right. She was too young to do it," revealed Chunky Pandey

Talking to Pinkvilla, Vicky Kaushal talked about joining the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe anytime soon to which the Chhaava actor stated, "I would love to. I would love to because that's one genre that I have not attempted and been a part of to date. So if something like that comes up, preferably if something like that comes up with Maddock because they have mastery over that genre. So, of course, I would love to take it up"

Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, starring Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor in the lead, was scheduled to release in April 2025 this year. However, according to a report published in Bollywood Hungama, the movie has been postponed to a later half of the year. According to a source quoted by Bollywood Hungama, Karan Johar and Shashank Khaitan believe there is room to add more entertaining elements to the film which has extended the shooting.
