    As Saif Ali Khan underwent a surgery post an stabbing attack on him, it is reported that he is recovering week in Lilavati Hospital and is likely to be discharged soon. "We are observing his progress and he is doing excellently well according to our expectations. As per his progress, we have advised him bed rest and if he is comfortable, then in two to three days we will discharge him," said Dr Nitin Dange, neurosurgeon at Lilavati Hospital.

    Indian Film and Television Directors’ Association (IFTDA) has condemned the attack on Saif Ali Khan which took place on January 16. The official statement read as, "We are deeply saddened to know the inhuman stabbing attack on our beloved hero, Mr. Saif Ali Khan during night at his residence in Bandra (West). We are at a loss to know the attacker how he reached the 12th floor of Mr. Saif Ali Khan’s flat and waited for the attack and stabbed him causing injuries to his hand, neck and spine. There seems to be the lapse of security in his building. The timely treatment by the surgeons and doctors at Lilavati Hospital has saved his life, and he is out of danger. We, at IFTDA condemn the deadly attack on Mr. Saif Ali Khan and pray to the Almighty for his fast recovery"
