According to DCP Zone 9 Dixit Gedam's report, Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad has been identified as the accused in the attack on Saif Ali Khan and has been arrested. In an interview with PTI, Gedam revealed that Shehzad, a 30-year-old Bangladeshi national, was arrested at Hiranandani Estate on Ghodbandar Road, near Thane district. Reports suggest that Shehzad had entered India illegally and had been residing in Mumbai under the alias "Bijoy Das." He had worked at a housekeeping agency but had been unemployed for several months. Along with his friends, Shehzad had been living in Worli, Mumbai.
