"Awarapan 2" starring Emraan Hashmi is set to release on April 3, 2026, the makers announced on Monday. "Ground Zero", an upcoming action thriller headlined by Emraan Hashmi, is set to release in theatres on April 25. Inspired by BSF’s (Border Security Force) operation, the teaser of the film will be attached to Salman Khan's film "Sikandar" which is slated to release on March 30, according to a press release. The plot follows Hashmi's character, a Deputy Commandant in the Border Security Force (BSF), as he leads a two-year-long investigation into a high-stakes national security threat. "Ground Zero" explores themes of courage, sacrifice, and the unseen struggles faced by those who defend the nation. Directed by Tejas Deoskar, the film is presented by Excel Entertainment.

The Mumbai police on Monday registered an FIR against stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra for allegedly making defamatory remarks against Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde during a show, an official said. On Sunday night, Shiv Sena members damaged the Habitat Comedy Club in Khar, where Kamra’s show with "gaddar" (traitor) jibe at Shinde was filmed, as well as a hotel in whose premises the club is located. The Habitat, where Kamra's show was held, is the same venue where the controversial 'India's Got Latent' show had been filmed. After a video went viral showing Kamra allegedly using defamatory words against Shinde, Shiv Sena MLA Murji Patel lodged a police complaint. Based on the complaint, a First Information Report (FIR) was registered in the early hours of Monday against Kamra under various Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) actions, including 353(1)(b) (statements conducing to public mischief) and 356(2) (defamation), an official from MIDC police station said.

According to the Twitter page 'Cine Hub', Sikandar trailer has become the fastest Hindi movie trailer to cross 20 million views in the history of Indian cinema, beating Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan's record. As per another Twitter post, Jawan trailer had crossed 15+ million views within 10 hours of its release, while Sikandar trailer crossed 16+ million views in 6 hours.

Produced by Karan Johar-led Dharma Productions and directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, the film based on the book The Case That Shook The Empire by Raghu Palat and Pushpa Palat. For those unversed, the movie will revolve around the story of C Sankaran Nair, who fought against the British Raj and uncovered the truth behind the horrific Jallianwala Bagh massacre.
