Entertainment Highlights: Chhava Surpasses Day 1 Collection; Raghu Ram Issues First Statement After IGL Row

Naga Chaitanya got his first Rs. 100 Cr film after his movie Thandel entered into the prestigious club after a 10 day run. The Chandoo Mondeti directorial crossed the mark after it was released on day February 7, 2025. This is Naga Chaitanya's first film to enter Rs. 100 Cr club while his 2022 movie Bangarraju minted Rs. 61.8 Cr worldwide during its run, making it the second highest of his career.

Veteran actor-producer C Krishnaveni passes away at the age of 102. Krishnaveni, who introduced NTR & Ghantasala, died in Hyderabad on Sunday. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu wrote a post paying the condolences, “The death of the actor and film producer Krishnaveni saddens me. I pray to God to grant peace to the soul of Krishnaveni. Her service to the art world by introducing NTR to the film industry with the film Mana Desam is unforgettable. I express my deepest condolences to her family members.”

Vicky Kaushal's fans gave the actor Rajinikanth, Thalapathy Vijay-like treatment after his film Chhaava became the biggest Bollywood opener of 2025 by minting Rs. 100 Cr worldwide in just two days. A video went viral where a fan could be seen pouring milk to Vicky Kaushal's poster while chanting 'Jay Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.'

Ranveer Allahbadia's girlfriend Nikki Sharma shared a cryptic post days after India's Got Latent Row surrounding Beer Biceps. I wish the show had not included some jokes that caused such hurt. The sensibilities of a paying audience in a show can differ from a larger YouTube audience."

Chhava continues to roar at the box office and became the biggest Bollywood opener of the year. The movie, which minted Rs. 31 Cr on day 1, has earned 36.5 Cr on day 2, according to the early estimates of Sacnilk. The total collection of the film stands at Rs. 67.5 Cr as of ay 2.
