Ahead of the release, Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna starrer Chhaava has been passed by the Censor Board but with a couple of alterations. As per Bollywood Hungama, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has directed the makers to mute certain cuss words, including ‘haramz*adon’ and ‘haramz*ada’, that could create problems. The CBFC also suggested to alter dialogues. Reportedly, they have suggested to change "Mughal sultanat ka zehar” to “Uss samay, kayi shaasak aur sultanat khud ko zinda rakhne ki koshish kar rahe the” and "Khoon toh aakhir Mughalon ka hi hai" to be changed to "Khoon toh hai Aurang ka hi."

The National Commission for Women (NCW) on Tuesday expressed strong concern over the derogatory comment made by YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia and others on comedy show "India's Got Latent" and summoned them on February 17. The commission has taken serious note of the vulgar and offensive remarks made by content creators such as Allahabadia, Samay Raina, Apoorva Makhija, Jaspreet Singh, and Ashish Chanchlani, as well as the show's producers, Tushar Poojari and Saurabh Bothra.

A clip of Indian singer Arijit Singh taking his British counterpart Ed Sheeran on a scooter ride is going viral on social media, with a section of fans calling it "the most wholesome" video ever. According to reports, Singh was photographed riding the vehicle with Sheeran, who is currently on the India leg of his Mathematics (+-=÷x) Tour, sitting behind him, unaccompanied by any security detail. Criticising Ranveer Allahbadia for his "pathetic thinking", singer B Praak has said he has called off an appearance on the influencer's podcast after his remark on a reality show sparked controversy. Allahbadia, 31, received backlash from all quarters after his distasteful comment on parents and sex on comic Samay Raina's YouTube reality show "India's Got Latent" went viral on social media on Monday. The influencer, popularly known as BeerBiceps, later apologised for his "lapse in judgement" and also said he had asked the show creators to remove the controversial segment. In an Instagram video, Praak on Monday night said: "I was supposed to appear on a podcast, on Beer Biceps, and we cancelled that. Why? Since we are all seeing how pathetic his thinking is. The choice of words that he has used on Samay Raina's show."

As the India's Got Latent controversy intensified, Ranveer Allahbadia took to X to issue an apology for his remarks, acknowledging that his appearance on the show was a mistake. He also requested that his objectionable comment be removed from the episode. In light of the growing backlash, the controversial episode has been removed from YouTube. Additionally, the content, which was also available on the show's mobile app, has now been restricted. The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) intervened and directed YouTube to remove the video following multiple complaints regarding offensive language used during the show. Complaints were also filed with the Mumbai Commissioner and the Maharashtra State Women’s Commission, implicating not only Ranveer Allahbadia but also social media influencer Apoorva Makheja and comedian Samay Raina.

According to reports, the highly anticipated action-drama featuring Salman Khan and director Atlee has been shelved. Originally envisioned as a grand-scale production, the film was expected to feature either Rajinikanth or Kamal Haasan in a crucial role. However, the project now seems to have been put on indefinite hold. Meanwhile, Atlee is reportedly shifting his focus to a new venture starring Allu Arjun.
