Esha Gupta Finally Addresses Rumours Of Dating Cricketer Hardik Pandya: Yeah, For Some Time We Were...
Esha Gupta clarifies her past with Hardik Pandya, stating they were never in a serious relationship. She values meaningful connections away from public scrutiny.

Esha Gupta has finally addressed the rumours surrounding her and cricketer Hardik Pandya. In a conversation with Siddharth Kannan, Esha clarified that although they had a brief period of communication, it never evolved into a relationship. "Yeah, for some time we were talking. I don't think we were dating, but yeah, we were talking for a couple of months. We were at that 'maybe it will happen, maybe it won't' stage. It ended before we even reached the dating stage. So it wasn't dating-dating. We met once or twice, that's it. So yeah, as I said, it was a couple of months and then it ended," Esha revealed.
When asked about the potential for a relationship with Pandya, Esha admitted there was a possibility but noted that things quickly fizzled out due to timing and compatibility issues. She emphasised there was no drama or bitterness involved, stating simply that "it just wasn't meant to be." This candid admission sheds light on why their connection didn't progress further.
Esha's Perspective on Past Controversies
Esha also touched upon the controversy involving Hardik Pandya's remarks on Koffee With Karan. By the time this incident occurred, she and Pandya were no longer in contact. "That part didn't affect me, because we had already stopped talking by then," she explained. Her detachment from the situation allowed her to remain unaffected by the public backlash he faced.
Interestingly, when the controversial episode aired in 2019, Esha was among those who criticised its misogynistic tone. However, she refrained from adding further criticism at the time. "They were already going through enough," she remarked, explaining her decision not to pile on more negativity.
Seeking Meaningful Connections
The actress elaborated on why their brief connection didn't develop further. Esha seeks grounded relationships away from public scrutiny—something that might have conflicted with Pandya's high-profile lifestyle. This desire for privacy and meaningful connections played a role in their paths diverging.
Esha's recent work includes appearances in Ek Badnaam Aashram 3 Part 2 alongside Bobby Deol and portraying DCP Laxmi Rathi in One Day: Justice Delivered. There are rumours about her joining Hera Pheri 3's cast, though official confirmation is pending.
In conclusion, Esha Gupta has provided clarity on her past interactions with Hardik Pandya while expressing her preference for private and meaningful relationships over public ones.
