EXCLUSIVE: Divya Khossla EXPOSES Lobbying Against 'Outsiders'; Calls Savi Vs Jigra Controversy An 'Eye Opener'

Divya Khossla Exclusive

Divya Khossla Exclusive: It turned out to be an unexpectedly explosive birthday for actress-director-producer Divya Khossla. Last night (November 20), she dropped a shocking phone recording with filmmaker Mukesh Bhatt, days after he allegedly claimed that his niece Alia Bhatt was a better actress than her and accused Divya of orchestrating the Savi vs Jigra clash last year for "publicity." However, Divya clarified that Mukesh Bhatt never actually made any such remark, hinting instead at a deeper attempt by an "industry mafia" to damage her reputation by planting false narratives. Over a phone call, Mukesh ji personally clarified the matter to Divya, stating that his words were being twisted and taken out of context.

Now, in an exclusive conversation with 'A Se Aadii' (Aditya Rana) from Filmibeat, the Ek Chatur Naar actress makes even more startling revelations about a powerful "other camp" working behind the scenes to "sabotage" people in the industry. The actress, who never shies away from speaking her mind, also reiterated the "corporate bookings", which are getting worse day by day.

Here are the excerpts from the interview:

1) How upsetting was it for you to face all this, especially on your birthday?

Of course, on my birthday, even as a human being, it feels bad how such things affect you. Obviously, I can't deny or pretend to be very strong because that's not how life works. I felt bad, hurt when I found out about how I had been targeted by the other camp. A birthday is a very positive and happy day; you look forward to good wishes. And suddenly I had to go through this, which was very painful and not right. And even if it wasn't my birthday, it still isn't right, you know. And why bring it out suddenly a year later? Like, what's your interest in bringing it out a year later?

2) Divya, we've seen your hard work - you are literally a sherni. Is it mentally affecting you, especially since Mukesh ji mentioned the other camp?

Yes, there is a hierarchy system lobbying, not only with me, but this happens with a lot of outsiders. And there's like a 100% category, you know, which is divided into A, B and C. The outside is still struggling, no matter how much good work you do and it's getting worse day by day. Deliberate attempts to sabotage others' careers or differentiate people based on categories. It's become like proper discrimination. And since Savi happened, I spoke about corporate bookings, where it is not on merits anymore. You do corporate booking, you declare big collections, you buy awards, you declare yourself as the best actress. How is it fair anymore? And of course, it's this entire thing that happened on all the major sites, major handles, and articles that were seeded against me. It was well planned by your PR on my birthday. And it's an eye-opener for me that snakes are all around.

3) If not Mukesh ji, then have you tried finding out who got it done?

I already know who these people are and who the camps are. And I guess everybody does know about it.

4) Is the other camp (as Mukesh ji called it) making your upcoming releases difficult and leaving an impact?"

Even on the Ek Chatur Naar release day, my handle in the morning was suddenly flooded with negative comments. And when I put it out, saying I'll call out the camp and the agency behind it, all of it suddenly just stopped. So, this is like a planned sabotage that they do and even money is spent behind it to sabotage another person's career.

5) Have you ever tried speaking to Alia or the Jigra team about what went wrong and why all of this is happening now?

It's unfortunate when power dynamics lead to unhealthy environments. Everyone deserves respect regardless of their position. And if someone is creating a toxic atmosphere, I feel it's crucial to address the issue and promote a culture of accountability. and the film industry should be based on merits, where talent and hard work are the only currencies that matter. Unfortunately, it's no secret that outsiders often face significant challenges in getting recognised and respected in the hierarchy system and lobbying can be extremely overwhelming, leading to discrimination against those without industry connections.

I will always be the person who speaks. I will always raise my voice against things that are wrong and corrupt, and I will not tolerate this kind of nonsense. God has given me a platform and that platform should be utilised to do right and to be righteous in life. And as much as one can do. So I'll follow that path of at least speaking the truth. And I'm not afraid. And whenever something like this happens, I will always counter them fearlessly. People shoot, hiding behind the PR teams and agencies. However, I'm not afraid to speak the truth. And sorry, they do not scare me.
