EXCLUSIVE: Manjari Fadnnis On Akshardham Re-Release, Career Plans & Finding Gratitude In 2025

Manjari Faddnis Exclusive

Manjari Faddnis Exclusive: Actress Manjari Fadnnis, known for her versatile roles in films like Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, Barot House, Freelancer, and Masoom, is once again making waves as her film Akshardham gears up for a re-release in theatres. In an exclusive conversation, Manjari reflects on the emotionally turbulent year 2025 has been for many, and shares how she's embracing gratitude, creative exploration, and musical growth.

With Akshardham returning to the big screen and her other film Pune Highway now streaming on Amazon Prime Video after its theatrical run, Manjari reveals what's next in her journey-from web series to musical collaborations-and the instincts that guide her script choices. Check the excerpts below:

1. 2025 has been a heavy year for many. What do you feel about the same?

Manjari: Yes, it hasn't been a great year for so many people. It's scary. I guess in times like these, you just want to count your blessings and be grateful for all the little things and moments life has been kind to you about...

2. What's next from Manjari? Surely something is churning.

Manjari: As of now, I'm very happy about two of my films releasing together on 4th July. Pune Highway is now streaming on Amazon Prime after its theatrical release on 23rd May, and another film of mine, Akshardham, is getting its theatrical release.

Besides that, I'm currently awaiting the release of a few other films I've already completed. Meanwhile, I'm waiting-and hungry-for more good films and web series to come my way. But while I wait, I'm enjoying myself on the musical front, doing lots of musical collaborations, creating music with friends, and prepping to go live with singing.

3. What makes you say yes to a character?

Manjari: Mostly instincts. What excites me the most are roles that give me an opportunity as an actor to explore untapped, different sides of myself-like in Barot House, Freelancer, Miya Biwi Aur Murder, Masoom, or more recently, Pune Highway.

Also, I need to wholeheartedly fall in love with the script on paper first. I really enjoyed my roles in a few indies like Chalti Rahe Zindagi, Khamakha, and Yeh Dooriyan...

Other times, you just know in your heart that a project is bound for success... and it always helps to be a part of a successful one!

4. Your film Akshardham is going to have a re-release in theatres now. How does that feel?

Manjari: It always feels good when a film of yours releases on the big screen. So yes, I'm very happy. The film received a lot of positive response when it first released. I hope it gets even more love in theatres this time around!
