Farah Khan In Legal Trouble: Hindustani Bhau Moves Bombay High Court To File FIR Against Her Over Holi Comment

Farah Khan Controversy: Vikas Jayram Fhatak, widely recognized as Hindustani Bhau, a social media influencer and ex-Bigg Boss contestant, has initiated legal proceedings against filmmaker Farah Khan. He has approached the Bombay High Court with a plea to file a First Information Report (FIR) against her. This action stems from Khan's comments on a recent episode of Celebrity MasterChef, where she referred to Holi as a festival for "chhapris," a term that Fhatak claims disparages the Hindu community and could potentially provoke sectarian strife.

Previously, Fhatak had lodged a formal complaint at the Khar Police Station in Mumbai, calling for immediate legal repercussions against Khan for her contentious remarks. He pressed for stringent measures under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including 196, 299, 302, and 353, highlighting the gravity of the offense. Fhatak's aggressive stance underscores his demand for accountability and reparation for the perceived insult to Hindu traditions.

Fhatak passionately defended the sanctity of Holi, emphasizing its widespread celebration across India, from Prime Minister Narendra Modi to religious ascetics and the general populace. He expressed disbelief at Khan's derogatory label, questioning her awareness of the cultural and religious significance of the festival. "You are insulting Sanatan Dharma? And this is not something new for the Bollywood people. This is not something new. From the beginning of Bollywood, from the beginning, whenever they saw it, they only insulted our Sanatan Dharma, they only insulted our deities and goddesses. Whenever you see in their films, they always presented our Hindu Dharma, they always presented it as filth," Fhatak remarked, highlighting a perceived pattern of disrespect towards Hinduism by the film industry.

As of now, Farah Khan has yet to respond to the allegations and the growing controversy surrounding her comments. With the legal challenge now reaching the Bombay High Court, the dispute over Khan's remarks on Holi has escalated, drawing attention to the broader issue of religious sensitivity and the portrayal of Hindu festivals in popular culture.
