From Chhaava To Dhurandhar, Akshaye Khanna And Danish Pandor Emerge As The Box Office Champions Of 2025

The Hindi film industry has had a good year at the box office in 2025. It began with the blockbuster success of Laxman Utekar's Chhaava in February and ended with Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar shattering multiple box office records this month. While both films set the cash registers ringing, there were two common factors in both films, actors Akshaye Khanna and Danish Pandor.

In Chhaava, Akshaye and Danish played Mughal emperor Aurangzeb and Ikhlaas Khan respectively, and in Dhurandhar, they gave the characters of Rehman Dakait and Uzair Baloch which have both become cultural icons. With these two films, the two actors have grossed over Rs 1600 crores at the box office.

Chhaava became the first big hit of 2025 collecting Rs 797.34 crores worldwide. Dhurandhar, on the other hand, is still continuing on its glorious run and has already collected close to Rs 900 crores globally. What makes the success more impactful is that along with commercial output, both films brought critical backing for both Akshaye and Danish as well.Together, the actors have proved to be Hindi film industry's lucky charm this year and the most successful duo at the ticket counters.
