Housefull 5 Box Office Target Exclusive: Amid a huge buzz and high expectations, Tarun Mansukhani's directorial Housefull 5 has hit the theatres today (June 6). After the underperformance of Kesari Chapter 2, all eyes are on this fifth installment in the Housefull series. The film features Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, and Riteish Deshmukh in the main roles.

Housefull 5 story begins when Ranjit's will, worth 69 billion pounds is read, revealing that the money will go to someone named Jolly. But the twist? Three different men claim to be Jolly, and all arrive with their wives, throwing the entire cruise into chaos. As arguments over the inheritance spiral out of control, the story takes a sharp turn as Ranjit's doctor is suddenly found dead. What started as a lighthearted family comedy quickly transforms into a murder mystery, packed with unexpected twists and hilarious moments.

The film boasts a massive ensemble cast, with nearly 19 familiar faces. Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, and Riteish Deshmukh return to the franchise, joined by Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, and Sonam Bajwa. Adding even more star power are Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Chunky Pandey, and Soundarya Sharma, among others.

Amid the excitement for Housefull 5, Filmibeat got in touch with trade analyst Rohit Jaiswal who talked about the film's budget and box office target.

Talking about the film's budget, Rohit Jaiswal told us, "Usually, when it comes to a film's budget, around 45-50% of that amount should be its theatrical value. A film's earnings are divided across various streams-satellite rights, OTT platforms, music rights, brand collaborations, and more. So ideally, a film's theatrical value should be around 45-50% of its total budget."

He added, "A lot has been said about the budget of this particular film. From what I can observe, despite the film featuring many stars, apart from Akshay Kumar, there isn't any actor who commands a double-digit (crore) salary. Also, Sajid Nadiadwala is a well-respected producer, and he knows the right value each actor deserves. Of course, the making cost may be on the higher side, but in my opinion, the total budget of this film should not exceed Rs 200 crore."

HOUSEFULL 5 BOX OFFICE TARGET AND DAY 1 PREDICTION

Talking about the box office target for Housefull 5, Rohit Jaiswal stated, "If we go by a Rs 200 crore budget, then the film's theatrical value stands at around Rs 90 crore. To recover that amount, the film needs to earn at least Rs 180 crore at the box office. If the film manages to collect between Rs 200-250 crore, it will earn the status of a hit. If it crosses the Rs 250 crore mark, the verdict will go beyond just a hit. And anything above Rs 400-450 crore will place the film in the super hit category. However, the target for the film should be in the Rs 220-250 crore range."

As per his prediction, the movie is likely to mint Rs 22-25 crores on the opening day (June 6).
