Amidst high anticipation, Ibrahim Ali Khan made his much-awaited acting debut in the Dharma film 'Nadaaniyan', co-starring Khushi Kapoor. From story to Ibrahim-Khushi's performances, the Gen Z rom-com received severe flak from everyone. A couple of days after the release, Ibrahim created a stir online over his threat message to alleged Pakistani critic Taimoor Iqbal for trolling him and the film.
It all started when the Pakistani journalist took a dig at Ibrahim and shared harsh comments on his body. Replying to Tamur's Insta story, Ibrahim DMed him saying, "Tamur almost like Taimoor... you got my brother's name. Guess what you don't got? His face. You ugly piece of trash. Since you can't keep your words to yourself, don't bother, they're irrelevant just like you. Ugly goddamn piece of shit I feel bad for you and your family - and if I see you on the streets one day, I'll make sure I leave you uglier than you are - you walking piece of scum. (sic)"

During a recent interview with Filmfare, Ibrahim broke silence on the threat controversy for the first time. Addressing the incident, IAK, told the magazine,"I know I shouldn't have reacted but I'm also new to public scrutiny. When he made that personal comment about my body, it felt like a below-the-belt remark. But going forward, I'll be more composed. I shouldn't have reacted. It won't happen again (sic)".

During the same interview, Khan also opened up on his dating rumours with Palak Tiwari, daughter of popular TV actress Shweta Tiwari. Calling her 'sweet', Ibrahim was quoted saying, "She's a good friend. Yeah, she's sweet. That's all. (sic)"
