Ibrahim Ali Khan Wanted 'Grand Theatrical Release' For Nadaaniyan? Reddit Loses Mind, "THIS Is Privilege...."

Ibrahim Ali Khan Interview For Nadaaniyan: Ibrahim Ali Khan recently sat for an interview with Filmfare where he talked about his debut film Nadaaniyan where she was seen with Khushi Kapoor. The Dharma production movie was released on Netflix, however, the content of the film and acting of the stars are rejected by the netizens and the performances of the debut star along with Khushi's, who is only 3-movies-old at the moment, became a meme fest. After the recent interview of Ibrahim, a Reddit post shared how Ibrahim Ali Khan wanted a 'grand theatrical release' and gave himself 3.5/5 stars for his debut film. After his comment on himself went viral, Reddit couldn't keep calm and trolled the actor mercilessly.
Ibrahim Ali Khan Wanted Grand Theatrical Release Of Nadaaniyan; Gives Himself 3.5/5 Stars
In the interview, Ibrahim was asked how many stars he would give to himself, to which he said, "Out of five stars? I don't know. A three? Yeah, three, three point five. Don't fly too high but don't diss yourself either. The movie opened to mixed reviews. How have you taken in the positives and the negatives that have come? I've seen the mixed reviews on social media, they do fry your brains a bit. Obviously, most of them are bad because that's just how social media works. But I'm glad that a lot of people can see what I may be able to bring to the table. I'm happy with the response I got from the film industry. I'm quite pleased."
When asked if Nadaaniyan was the perfect debut for you, Ibrahim Ali Khan admitted, "I did want a commercial, grand, theatre mein seeti marne wala launch. But nowadays, maybe theatres are not the way they used to be. In 2025, the director and the script are the kings. I genuinely believe that we won't get stars like Ranbir Kapoor, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan and Aamir Khan again. That era of actors is gone. It just doesn't work how it used to work in the '80s and in the '90s, when these guys would just stand in front of the camera and the movies would be a hit. People would go crazy over these stars. Nowadays, it's hard to do that. No one can be a star like that. Unfortunately, I can't say that I'm a star. I'm nobody. My work needs to speak for me. I like the concept of being an actor and doing good work, which in 2025 is key."
After his comment went viral, Reddit couldn't keep calm, one wrote, "Seriously, I couldn't read the whole thing because I don't care enough about him, but whatever I read was dripping with arrogance. All the PR in the world and you can't even fake some humility.." Another wrote, "pata nahi yeh banda kaunsi duniya mein reh raha hain," one user commented, "He is as delusional as his father who thought he deserved the national award."
