Amitabh Bachchan's grandson Agastya Nanda is all set to make his big screen debut in Sriram Raghavan's upcoming directorial 'Ikkis'. Based on the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal PVC, Agastya is playing the male lead. Akshay Kumar's niece Simar Bhatia is all set to make her big Bollywood debut opposite Agastya in 'Ikkis'.
Produced by Maddock Films, the film also stars Dharmendra and Jaideep Ahlawat in important roles.
Who Is Simar Bhatia?
Simar Bhatia is the daughter of Akshay Kumar's sister Alka Bhatia. According to reports, Alka Bhatia had tied the knot with Vaibhav Kapoor in 1997 and welcomed their first born Simar Bhatia. Later, the duo got divorced.
Earlier today, Simar's 'mamu' Akshay Kumar took to Instagram and penned a heartfelt note as he welcomed her niece to the film industry. He captioned his post, "I remember the first time I saw my photo on the cover of the newspaper. I thought that's the ultimate happiness. But today I know the happiness of seeing your child's photo here beats everything. I wish my mom was here today and she would have said 'Simar puttar Tu tah Kamaal hai'. Bless you my baby, the sky is yours. (sic)"
