IPL 2025 Opening Ceremony Updates: Get ready for the 18th season of the Indian Premiere League (IPL). The much-awaited IPL 2025 is all set kickstart this month... in fact, this week. The grand opening ceremony of IPL 2025 is expected to be star-studded affair with names of big Bollywood stars in the possible guestlist. Additionally, a starry line-up of performances for the opening ceremony is also garnering a lot of buzz.

With the Indian Premiere League 2025 season is just around the corner, the IPL fever is all set to take over the country very soon. The 18th season IPL is scheduled to commence this Saturday (March 22) and the final will be held on 25th May 2025.

Ahead of the first match of the season, KKR (Kolkata Knight Riders) vs RCB (Royal Challengers Bengaluru), a star-studded opening ceremony has been planned for the fans and viewers.

IPL 2025 opening ceremony will take place at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Saturday. The event will start at 6:00 PM IST and will be broadcasted live on Star Sports. The opening ceremony will also be available for live streaming on JioHotstar.

IPL 2025 Opening Ceremony Guestlist: Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan & Priyanka Chopra To Attend?

According to Hindustan Times, Shah Rukh Khan is likely to attend the opening match of his team KKR. For those unversed, KKR lifted the IPL winners trophy last year (2024). As the report further suggests, Salman Khan might grace the opening ceremony to promote his upcoming Eid 2025 biggie 'Sikandar'. Along with them, 'Chhaava' actor Vicky Kaushal's name is also doing rounds in the guestlist.

A source informed the daily, "Their presence is likely to add a touch of glamour and excitement to the highly anticipated event. Shah Rukh is expected to attend as his team is playing the opening match, and Salman might make an appearance to promote his upcoming film, Sikandar."

Reportedly, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Katrina Kaif, Madhuri Dixit, Ayushmann Khurrana, Ananya Panday and Sara Ali Khan among others have also been approached to attend the IPL 2025 opening ceremony.

IPL 2025 Opening Ceremony Performers

As reported by the same HT report, Bangali music icons Shreya Ghoshal and Arijit Singh are likely to give a musical treat to the fans. Reportedly, Varun Dhawan, Shraddha Kapoor, Disha Patani, 'Tauba Tauba' fame Karan Aujla are expected to perform on Saturday at Eden Gardens.

"Shreya Ghoshal, Disha Patani, Karan Aujla, Arijit Singh, Shraddha Kapoor, and Varun Dhawan will be performing. In addition to that, pop band OneRepublic, who collaborated with Karan Aujla and Disha Patani recently for Tell Me, has also been approached for a performance at the opening ceremony," the source added.
