For this Sajid Nadiadwala production venture, the superstar teamed up with AR Murugadoss ('Ghajini' fame) for the first time. Almost a month before Sikandar's highly-anticipated Eid release, the makers offered a sneak peek into Salman's character in the film. However, ever since the teaser dropped online, fans have been talking about similarities between Sikandar and a Thalapathy Vijay film, speculating if the Salman Khan starrer is a remake. On Thursday (yesterday, Feb 27), the makers of Salman Khan's upcoming entertainer 'Sikandar' unveiled Salman Khan's character teaser from the film. Directed by AR Murugadoss and bankrolled by Sajid Nadiadwala, the 1-minute-21-second clip introduced Khan in his larger-than-life character Sanjay, throwing punches and kicks. In the teaser video, Salman is seen declaring a war against Sathyaraj's character.

Is Sikandar A Remake Of THIS Thalapathy Vijay Film?

Ever since Salman Khan's Sikandar was release, netizens started debating online whether the film was a remake of Thalapathy Vijay's 2018 Tamil political-thriller 'Sarkar'. Interestingly, the Tamil film was directed by AR Murugadoss.

While the makers are officially address the ongoing chatter, Sikandar seems to be an ORIGINAL film, not a remake. Several journalists from various portals have firmly stated that Sikandar is not the Hindi remake of Thalapathy Vijay's Sarkar.

Sikandar Full Cast, Release Date

Headlined by Salman Khan, Sikandar boasts a power-packed ensemble including names like Sathyaraj, Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Prateik Babbar, and Sharman Joshi among others.

While we all know that Sikandar is arriving on big screens this year on Eid, the exact release date is yet to be officially announced. However, several Twitter pages have claimed that Sikandar will apparently release on 30th March 2025 (Sunday).
