According to media reports, Jacqueline Fernandez's mother Kim Fernandez has passed away on April 6 in Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital. It is reported that Kim was rushed to the hospital after suffering a heart stroke on March 24. Ever since then she was fighting a battle in ICU. However, she took her last breath this morning. According to media reports, Kim Fernandez's funeral will be taking place on Sunday (April 6) in Mumbai. Reportedly, Kim's last rites will be held privately and will only have family and close friends in attendance. To note, Kim is survived by her husband Elroy and four kids including Jacqueline.

Meanwhile, as per a report published in Hindustan Times, Jacqueline Fernandez was supposed to perform at the IPL ceremony last week. However, she chose to take a step back owing to her mother's health. "Jacqueline's mother is still in the ICU recovering. As the family awaits further update from the doctors. In these challenging times, Jacqueline has chosen to be by her mother's side, and unfortunately will be missing performing at the IPL ceremony," a source was quoted saying.
