Karan Johar recently appeared on renowned movie critic and trade analyst Komal Nahta's podcast. Game Changers, on YouTube in which he shared his views on storytelling, Indian actors, films and whatnot.

During the episode, KJo talked about the importance of 'conviction' in storytelling and cited an example of how SS Rajamouli's film succeeds at the box office despite lacking 'logic'. As per reports, "Conviction is very important. If you look at anything, especially if you analyse the journey of the best filmmakers, you'll see that the biggest hits are built on conviction. Logic doesn't matter in a film. Take any film by Rajamouli sir, for example. Where do you see logic? You only see conviction. And when conviction comes to the forefront, even the audience believes in it (sic)," Karan was quoted saying.

Further giving examples of films like 'RRR', 'Animal' and 'Gadar', he added, "Look at the biggest films - whether it's Animal, RRR, or Gadar - these films are made with conviction. If you can defeat a thousand people with a single hand pump, that's conviction, right? Anil Sharma believes that Sunny Deol can do this. That is pure conviction. This is something I want every filmmaker to have in their DNA because then, I believe, we can make any film a blockbuster. The only problem arises when you start doubting yourself, second-guessing the audience, and focusing too much on logic. (sic)"

Karan Johar Claps Back At Media For Misinterpreting His Remark

Karan Johar's latest remark on Rajamouli and his films grabbed a lot of eyeballs. A while ago, the filmmaker took to Instagram and clapped back at the media portals for twisting his words for their own clickbait.

Sharing a note on his Ig story, Karan wrote, "I would request publications and media sites NOT to twist my words for their own click bait headlines! What I have said in reverence and praise should not be misconstrued!"

On the work front, KJo is currently busy shooting for his upcoming directorial. Apart from it, he also has a string of movie releases under his production house including films like 'Nadaaniyan', 'Kesari 2' to name a few.
