Kesari Chapter 2 shows the legal battle that happens post the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. When the British government feels that they are losing the case against Chettoor Sankaran Nair and Dilreet Gill, they detain them by making an illegal plot against them. Both are then kept in jail until the final judgment of the case is made. In the judgement, the Britisher is proved not guilty. However, Nair gets to know that 3 jury found General Dyer guilty of the massacre. After knowing that court changed the judgement, Nair filed the petition.

Kesari Chapter 2: Who Is Chettoor Sankaran Nair?

Born in 1857, Chettoor Sankaran Nair came from a wealthy family of Mankara village in Kerala. He did his law from Madras Law College and later started practicing in the Madras High Court. 4 years after he started practicing law, Nair was appointed by the Madras government as a committee for an enquiry in the Malabar district. In 1912, he was made the Viceroy's Executive Council. It was considered one of the highest positions in British India back then. Nair gave up his post after the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, where General Dyer ordered his soldiers to shoot over 15,000 unarmed Indians. Nair fought against Dyer against the unfair treatment of Indians. Nair passed away at the age of 77 in the year 1934.
